Weigh Day: 1-6-5

Hard work spotlights the character of people: some turn up their sleeves, some turn up their noses, and some don’t turn up at all.

I decided at the beginning of this month to kick everything up a notch. Specfically, avoiding evening snack attacks, potential Easter pitfalls, and increasing the intensity/duration of my workouts to prepare for the triathlon. The hard work finally paid off today with a 4.6 lb loss…for a total of 165.6 lbs gone. One of my short-term goals is to weigh 235 lbs at the Danskin TRI and it looks like I’ll reach it…woohoo!

Focus this week is simply to improve my 5K time. I currently walk a 15 minute mile (4 mph) and I’d like to shave at least 2 minutes off my overall finishing time. I’d also like to see the 230s soon, so I won’t be falling off the wagon this week. 🙂

::falls over:: OH MY GOD!! You are such an inspiration. I hope you know that. Your hard work is obviously paying off. 4.6 lbs is hard to lose in one week after the initial beginning-of-diet losses.

amazing. I found my old WW stuff now that Im back in Cali and I was almost sick when I saw I was 10lbs lighter 2 yrs ago, and 30lbs lighter 4yrs ago.

Wow! What an incredible loss! You are doing SO awesome! Now that I’m at goal I’m finding it hard to stay on-program as strict as I was in the beginning.
