I suck at writing regularly. Anyway, things are going really well.

Hubby and I just refinanced our house (again!), we’re in a pretty decent fixed rate now and should be in a good place now to stay so we’re happy with that.

We found out that Casper does indeed have a Hyperactive Thyroid. We caught it early enough that it hasn’t caused any other problems. He’s on pills to control it and has to have periodic blood tests to make sure his Thyroid levels stay good. He HATES taking his pills. A friend gave us a “cat piller” she got from her vet though and that makes it pretty easy. We tried hiding it in food, in bits of turkey and such and that only worked once, he’s too smart.

I got my flute back from the shop. It was great, I got the call the morning of the day we had rehearsal. I went and picked it up. The guy handed it over the counter to me and said “You’re not going to recognize it” I half-jokingly said “I hope I don’t”. When I opened the case I was floored, all I could say was “That’s incredible”. And it is, it looks and sounds like new! Even hubby noticed a difference in the sound. I didn’t realize how out of shape it was since it went out so gradually. The major difference I noticed was that the keys spring back better. Faster passages play better now.

Last night hubby and I did something we haven’t done in awhile. We booked a hotel room on our favorite stretch of beach in Maine!!!! We’re going next month. I’m ecstatic. All of our pets have babysitters lined up and everything is a go so we’re happy.

We planted flowers today. Creeping Phlox in the side bed to fill in around the two bushes. Then two pots, one each of Pansies and Marigolds. Hubby also did some work to the side garden. He removed the rotten wood that was marking the edge of the garden, dug a trench and laid in some large rocks. It looks great, I’ll take some pictures tomorrow or when I think to.

Not much else planned. Had to cut the grass and stuff today, first time this year. Now I think it’s time to kick back, enjoy the breeze coming in through the windows and play some Neverwinter. 🙂
