I did NOT want to get up this morning. I’m really glad to be back home in my own bed with kitties at my feet when I wake up. 🙂 I’m looking forward to Saturday, it’ll be the first time I’ve gotten to sleep past 5 or 6am in over a week.
We had a ton of stuff we had to do last night. I had to pay bills and get all the crap from vacation put away. I made out a grocery list and hubby went to the grocery store for us. We didn’t buy any meat this week, we bought all soy stuff, we’re still working on switching over and this is the first week we’ve bought absolutely no meat. We even got some vegetarian “chicken” nuggets. I’ve wanted to become vegetarian for a long time and reading fast food nation makes me want to even more. This will make it harder to go out to eat though, a lot of my favorite things out are vegetarian anyway so it’s no big deal really. The places I don’t get meatless stuff like taco bell, I can start, I can get a bean burrito and some cheese nacho’s and be a happy camper. The only thing I’m not sure about is being a guest in someone’s home. We tried some organic waffles too and uh, yuck! They weren’t very good, they were kind of gritty. They might be good with a ton of butter and syrup but uh, that’s probably not the best idea so scratch the organic waffle idea. Most organic stuff actually tastes better but not those, and rice pudding, yuck.
Tonight hubby has to show me how to get to my band rehearsal. I kind of know where it is but not exactly. Luckily it’s pretty close to where we used to live in East Hartford so I’m comfortable with the on and off of the highway part, it’s just a matter of how to get there from the highway.
Kitten 5 has a home and a name now. One of my neighbors friends is taking him, they named him Taz, my guess is that her 5 year old daughter picked that name. She passed my requirements with flying colors so 5 has a home now. We’re still not sure about kitten 3, hubby is supposed to check with the guy on him, but the person who wants kitten 1 keeps eyeballing kitten 3 so we might see if we can convince her to take them both. I honestly wouldn’t mind keeping kitten 4 if we can’t find a home for her. Of course, if we find a home for her then that’s great. I hope all the new owners will keep in touch so we can always watch the babies grow and know how they are. That reminds me, we need to take an updated picture of Sara, we’re planning to send a picture of her to her breeder around Christmas. We’re going to try to take a really nice one ourselves, kind of like that one with the blue background hubby took of her as a puppy. This time we might try to do a purple background instead.
Anyway, I should go, I’ve got a couple things I want to check on before I get to work.
I checked out the album of the kittens, and they are absolutely precious.
