Well, I’m working from home again. This time hubby is sick. I don’t really want to drive in to work because yes, there’s still a peice of something lodged in my foot. I did manage to drive hubby home yesterday, hubby was feverish and unable to drive. I had to take off my shoe and be really careful but I managed. Not worth it though to do if I don’t have to.

My foot hurts a little less today. It’s not throbbing and aching constantly. Only if I put weight on where the splinter is does it hurt. That makes me think it’s worked it’s way away from the nerve somewhat. I’ve been doing epsom salt soaks and stuff. My shin hurts on that leg though from walking around on the ball of my foot. Hubby and I are a funny team right now. I can’t walk all that great and he’s feverish and dizzy. Neither of us want to do anything. Usually the non-sick one does all the running up and down the stairs. 🙂

Sophie has had a little bit of a personality change. She really seems to like hubby. She keeps jumping up on him and wanting him to pet her head. When I pet her though she bites me. Hubby says she’s tricky, you have to watch her carefully and know where she wants you to pet her. Well, I can’t tell, she’ll rub her cheek on me and I go to rub her cheek back she bites me. So maybe rubbing her cheek means pet her head? *shrug* I don’t know but he can just have fun. She’s too moody. Most of the other cats when you pet their cheak and they wanted their head rubbed will just turn their head down towards your hand, not bite the shit out of you. I hope she’s only moody because she’s pregnant. She’s due pretty much any day now. She’s started seeking out dark places it seems. She keeps getting in the dark shelf under my bedside table so I might just clean that out and put her nesting box thingy in there. She’s already destroyed my dream book and destroyed the wall of items I placed in front of it to keep her out, so I’m thinking if I just clean that out and give her the spot maybe that’s where she’d like to have babies.

Anyway, my stomach is yelling for food, and it’s not getting any quieter so I think I’m going to make the hike down the stairs and to the kitchen.

I had a splinter in my foot recently. I could see it though. I ended up getting a pair of small scissors and tweezers and pushing it into my foot to make a small hole in my skin and pushing it out so that I could pull it out with my tweezers. Sounds gruesome when I type it out. I hope your hubby feels better.
