Driving in 3-inch platform shoes is weird, let me tell you.
I know I’m weird.
I think being weird, at least for me, is kind of a coping mechanism. Dressing weird and stuff draws attention away from my social problems. The fact that I wear black and dress more gothic puts me in with that group that society is, more or less, afraid of. Therefore fewer people talk to me.
I’ve noticed I’m avoided more when I go all out than when I just wear something normal like jogging pants and a t-shirt.
So instead of feeling stupid because I fucked up a conversation or didn’t know what to respond with. I feel ignored and avoided. Strangely enough that is a better feeling for someone like me. I’d rather be avoided than laughed at. I’ve been laughed at far too many times in my life. Not to mention, I look awesome in black. 😉
So anyway, new topic, I was really happy yesterday, I hadn’t had a dizzy spell all day, or the day before but then, on the way home, I had one. My drive home consists of several miles of highway and a few miles of twisty country roads. Well, there’s one spot where there’s a really steep-ass hill, hatch hill. While going up it I put my head back on the head-rest. Then when I got to the top I lifted my head and it hit. The world went all wavy and I got really lightheaded. I’ve been reading message boards for people with Meniere’s and they’ve all said they’ve had it happen while driving. Usually because of things like the light flashing through the tree’s and various other things. I had hoped I’d never have one while driving. I am feeling better though, overall. I’ve been taking the magnesium for three days now. I’ve been less lightheaded and I’ve only had one dizzy spell in two days. I’m going to keep going with it and see how I do today and for the next week.
There is a little tiny black fly in my cubicle. These mofo’s drive me mad insane. I haven’t seen him for a couple minutes now though so maybe he’s off to annoy someone else. Not that there’s anyone else here. It’s very quiet today in the office.
So the weekend is upon us again, eh? Well, I don’t have shit planned for it. 🙂 I do need to go to Target. I need a new 13 X 9 inch pan, ours was teflon coated and the teflon shit started peeling off and ending up in the food. Um, gross. I’m going to avoid coated pans this time and just buy a nice heavy duty pan. There’s this power dissolver stuff now, I think maybe Dawn makes it? Anyway, you spray it on the dishes and wait a few mins and they rinse clean. That shit works great so I’m not so concerned with non-stick anymore. It even cleaned 20 years worth of soda and beer spills of this old bottle opener that attaches to the wall, it’s been in the house as long as hubby can remember. It looks brand new. 🙂
*yawn*
I really didn’t want to get up this morning but I woke up at 4:48am to a sharp pain in my left ankle. I had apparently kicked all my blankets off and was laying on top of them, Kenny was by my left ankle and he accidentally scratched me. I reached down and petted him then grabbed my glasses to look at the clock. 4:48 it read. I sighed and went to the bathroom then laid in bed for the ten minutes until the alarm went off.
Sophie is learning. The water bottle thing is working wonders too. If she gets poised to strike you spritz her and she’ll take off. This morning too she had been playing with Sara’s tennis ball and stopped to attack the rug. Hubby looked down at her and said “That’s not a toy Sophie” in kind of a commanding tone. It got her attention and as soon as she heard her name she charged off, she knew she was probably in trouble, even though she really wasn’t, it was just a rug afterall. I think she’s going to turn out to be a good kitty.
I brought this up a week or so ago and I should mention that the deadline for Turpentine Wild Animal Park in Arkansas was yesterday, and they met their goal!!! The big cats there are no longer at risk of losing their homes. 🙂
Soooo anyway. Time to go read my morning comics and check on the userfriendly.org message board. 🙂
Edit: Here’s something from the UF Board, I’m having a hell of a time. Here’s what you do. Click start, then try to move your mouse through the maze without touching the edges.

Okay, that game sucks! I can’t get past the first turn. I think it’s rigged. You’ll get used to the platforms. They’re fun to wear.
