Yellow Box

I renewed my OD like 2 weeks ago and that stupid yellow nag box is still showing. I sent an e-mail to OD a week ago and haven’t gotten a response. *sigh* Has anyone ever had the renewal process through amazon.com actually work properly? I never have even though I follow the directions exactly. Ah well.

Anyway, I have another meeting today. Woohoo, this one is with the bitch of all bitches, Marlene. No one in the entire company likes this woman. She’s a bitch and she always acts put out if you can’t help her right away. My first run in with her I was able to do exactly what she wanted right then and it was a pleasant encounter. You see, I had been warned in advance by my hubby. So when I got a technical support call from this woman I said to her “be right up” and I went up, fixed her problem. She thanked me profusely and sent me on my way. Job well done. My last encounter with her I couldn’t help her, the person she SHOULD have been speaking to was my boss and that encounter ended with me and her both pissed at each other. She was out of line with what she was asking of me, I got that fact reinforced yesterday when Michele nearly blew a fuse over the fact that this woman had even spoken to me about this stuff. It helps though, to know she’s out of line and to know that the stuff I’m going to be presenting her with today is stuff that Michele and my boss are backing so even if the meeting doesn’t go well I’ll win in the end.

To be 100% honest, my job, in and of itself isn’t that horrible. Actually, it’s quite pleasant. The problem I have with my job has to do with the people I encounter on a daily basis. The technical support part of my job is probably the most rewarding. People call me, ask questions, I answer their questions and fix problems, going to their desk if need be, and everyone is happy. When you fix someone’s problem it’s a win-win situation. My favorite part of my job is when I get to work with graphics. I also have our forms database and our electronic manuals that I take care of and that’s the boring part of my job.

My other problem is that 99% of the people I work with are extroverts. They’re the kind of people that if you happen to look at them they’ll start up a whole conversation about nothing. It’s amazing, how these people come up with things to talk about with someone they don’t know amazes me.

Hubby and I talked last night and decided we have to get control of our house again. I can’t keep things clean at home. I can at work though. My desk is generally spotless. What this tells me is that the reason I can’t keep things clean at home is because home is not optimally organized. The other problem is that I’m a packrat. We’ve got to go through the major problem areas this weekend and try to come up with a solution. Those areas are Kitchen, Sara’s room, upstairs office and the basement. Sara’s room right now is like a catch-all. I’ve got some ideas, we’ll have to see how they work out. 🙂

Anyway, I can’t really think of anything else so off to work I go.

When I renewed my diary the last 2 times I didn’t have a problem. I don’t what I did that was special, but it worked for me. I have heard of other people having the same problem though. Good luck…but you should be fine for a while, I know that there are diary’s that haven’t been renewed in months and still work.

Oh, good luck with the housecleaning–it’s going to be agonizing to throw stuff away if you really are a packrat, but grit your teeth and do it. It’s way better than being overtaken by junk. The yellow box stayed around for me, too, when I renewed thru Amazon. I got a refund and tried it again–you have to click on the link that takes you back to OD or it won’t work. I forgot to do that.
