The Porch is Completed

Yay for the porch being finished!!! Hubby borrowed a planer from his dad and got the door fixed and closing. He installed the door latch so now the porch door shuts nicely and locks.

The porch is now a safe place for kitties to play. 🙂 They weren’t sure at first because we’ve always yelled at them for going near the door when it was open. Didn’t take them long though and they were out on the porch enjoying the evening with us. And of course I took pictures!! 🙂

Vicki probably won’t use the porch. She literally lives in the office upstairs. She never leaves. Once in a great while she’ll venture out, it’s rare though. The poor cat, she grew up with a really grumpy male and he always picked on her. He gave her hell and she’s extremely shy because of it. She’s coming around with our cats but it’s slow going.

Sophie has a knickname now. She’s “Satan’s Little Helper”. This cat is evil and vindictive. All our cats earn a knickname which is what we generally call them instead of their own names.

Kenny = The Kennyman

Sally = Chica

Casper = Buddy

Victoria = Licktoria or Licky Vicky (she licks EVERYTHING)

and of course Sophie = Satan’s Little Helper. 🙂 Once Sophie straightens up she’ll earn herself a more “polite” knickname like the rest have.

Sara has a knickname as well. She’s Hoover. 🙂

And last, we bought Sara an elevated food and water bowl, good for the back and neck. The funny thing though is the cats enjoy it as well. 🙂 Here’s Kenny enjoying Sara’s water.
