Car Update
So, we’re getting our car back today.
No, it’s not fixed.
The problem is a pressure switch and the part won’t be in until next Thursday. Our car won’t be fixed until next Friday. I’m getting really sick of the dealership not having the parts our car needs.
I’m really glad it was a pressure switch and not something that could possibly be blamed on our sterio system or something like that. Since it leaned towards electrical they questioned that, a couple of times. Hubby did the installation himself and it’s a damn good installation. If done right sterio systems are harmless. We’re running one 10 inch subwoofer and 4 tweeters along with 4 mid-range speakers. We’ve got 2 amps and a power capacitor. It’s not like we’re running some crazy monster subwoofer in our little Accent. I like my bass thumpin and to have the full range available. You can’t blame a musician for wanting their music to sound right. 🙂
I’m glad we’ll have OUR car back for the weekend though. I wasn’t looking forward to a loaner. I’m partial to the little Accent. Even though it has had problems lately I still “like” it. It’s cute and surprisingly peppy. I wasn’t too happy about getting a four cylinder. I’m partial to the straight 6 and at the very least like a car with a V-6. I cringed at the thought of actually owning a 4. All I could think of was cursing at my grandfathers 4 cylinders that couldn’t be up to 65 in time to merge on the highway on a shorter ramp. Our Accent doesn’t have that problem though. It helps that it’s light. It’s almost as peppy as my Datsun, not nearly as powerful, but almost as peppy. I also own the heaviest 280zx ever made, the 2+2 so it loses some “peppiness” because of that. I like it though, for a four cylinder it does a decent job getting out of it’s own way.
I very much would like to get my datsun fixed though. I’m taking donations if anyone wants to donate? Yeah…I didn’t think so. 🙂 I’ll get it running again eventually.
Anyway, that’s that. I’ve got another hour or so left at this joint so off I go to entertain myself.
Oh man, don’t ever do your own installation of ANYTHING in a new car or you’ll ALWAYS get the third degree from the dealership! They’re just weird that way.
