Well, I guess the news of the day is that I got an e-mail from an old friend. Actually I got it on Sunday but I didn’t check the account the e-mail was sent to until this morning. Anyway, I was surprised to find out that apparently she’s been trying to contact me for quite awhile. She was frustrated and said that she didn’t expect anything this time either. My guess is that she was sending things to either my old e-mail address or old apartment in east hartford. I wouldn’t be surprised if the guy that’s living there now just threw out my mail or something. I’ve known this person since 7th grade. We met at lunch when we ended up at a table together coincidentally, neither of us had anyone to sit with. We quickly became friends, coincidentally we were both flute players as well so we were in band together and stuff. We always tried to play similarly on chair tests and stuff so we’d get seated together and you’d be surprised how well it worked. 🙂 I still have every note we ever passed and man are they hillarious. We’ve grown into two very different people but I’ll always have a special place in my heart for her. Honestly, without her, I know high school would have been a miserable place. We started growing apart our junior year when I moved to a new school mid-year. I made a new band friend and so did she. We still got together and did things though. After high school though, I got married and moved to CT and she joined the Air Force. The last time we saw each other wasn’t too long after I had moved. Matter of fact I think it was November of 1999. I had just moved in May ’99 but came back for Thanksgiving with my family.
Not much else for news, that’s the most exciting news today.
I keep forgetting to bring in my pictures of Sara. I have some that I took over the weekend, most are grainy but a couple of them came out cute and I was going to post them in here. She’s got an appointment on Monday for her spay. A friend of my hubbys said something to the affect of “oh, that’ll be a fun week for you”. *looks worried* What the hell is THAT supposed to mean? I’ve been trying to decide if we should take a couple days off work or something. Maybe just Tuesday or something, I’ll probably do some research on the web and see what people recommend. I know if I had surgery I’d want someone to stay home with me the next day.
So that’s pretty much it. I’m going to go do research.
🙂
it’s really not a big deal (about the spay), you just have to keep her calm and not let her run around until the stiches come out. No need to take off of work, just cage/chain her up somewhere. good luck! Ali

Don’t worry about her spay. Just keep her quiet and peaceful for a couple of days. It’s major surgery, but it’s not a big deal.
