Well, it appears I’m growing immune to the sound of our alarm clock. Once again hubby had to come in and wake me up when he noticed I hadn’t gotten out of bed. I used to have an alarm clock that had two choices, radio or beeping. I’d use the radio for awhile then change it to beeping and back again when I quit hearing it. I once threw out an alarm clock I thought was broken because it wasn’t waking me up, come to find out though it was working just fine.

Regardless of my sound sensitivities I can sleep through ANYTHING. I blame my mom. My mom had heard that you shouldn’t tip-toe around a sleeping baby because then it won’t sleep through any noises. She took that literally and used to put me down for a nap right in front of the living room sterio as it blared out their favorite music. So as a baby I used to nap to The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and The Steve Miller Band. That would probably explain why I’m one of the few people my age with a collection of their CD’s. I often fall asleep while hubby enjoys the tv and believe it or not I can fall asleep with our bedroom door open and him and his buddies playing D&D in our dining room. Note: guys don’t play D&D quietly and our bedroom door opens up to the balcony right over the dining room. We also have nice echoey wood floors. *double checks dictionary.com* Yepp, echoey really is a word. 🙂

Hubby and I were talking about how we met the other night. How amazing it is that we met and that things have worked out so wonderfully between us. We met in an AOL Roleplaying chatroom. He was so cute in there, someone had cast a raincloud on him that he couldn’t dispel. My character went over to his character and listened to his story. My character built a little fire to warm him up and I cooked him a hamster (don’t ask). I also managed to dispel the rain cloud. It was fun and we roleplayed a few more times together and ended up talking outside of the roleplaying. From there it blossomed into what it is today. If I believed in a higher power or fate I’d almost say it was destiny. We’re so different but so similar in so many ways. I honestly never expected to get married. I didn’t think I’d be able to share a house with someone without going insane. I require a lot of privacy and I absolutely cannot stand it when people touch my things. He requires his own space too so it works out. He keeps his shit on his side of the room and I keep my shit on my side of the room. 🙂

Hubby has all our old roleplaying logs and stuff so I’m planning to get ahold of those and post them on here. Should be a fun trip down memory lane when I get around to it.

Sara is doing well. I’ll be sooooo happy when she’s done teething. Her baby teeth are sharp. I should take a picture of hubbys hand, it’s all scratched up from her teeth. I try to refrain from even touching her so she never has a chance to get her teeth on my hand. I worked with her a bit yesterday on “Sit/Stay”. She’s so funny, she gets so excited that she just can’t stand it when we tell her to stay. She’ll inch forward a bit and if you repeat the command she’ll jump back a bit. If she gets really frustrated she’ll lay down with her head on the floor and her ears perked up. I don’t really care if she lays or sits right now as long as she stays put. Eventually the laying down thing will work itself out once she’s got less puppy energy. I was able to get her to sit and stay yesterday while I walked across the kitchen. I was also able to get her to lay down and leave a peice of food on the floor while I took my hand away from it. Her attention span only lasted long enough for one round of each of those tricks but it was better than she’d ever done before. This was the first bit of training I’ve done in awhile. She just didn’t have the patience for staying put before although she’s getting better about it now. I’ll probably start working on her heeling around 6 months or so, right now I’m just happy when she doesn’t pull and doesn’t attack her leash. I’m very pleased with her, I think she’s going to be a very good dog.

Well, I guess I’ve done a good job putting off working this morning. Guess I’ll see about actually getting something done now.
