So, I’m working from home today. When I asked my boss yesterday if I could she said sure and that she probably would too. I’ve noticed she almost always decide’s to work from home the same days I do. I’ve come to the conclusion that she’s like me and always looking for an excuse to work from home and when I ask she figures hell, she might as well too. 🙂
Actually, the reason I’m working from home is cuz well, I have nothing to do at work. I had two choices, sit at work and do nothing or hang out at home and do nothing. Who in their right mind wouldn’t choose home if it were an option right?
So yeah, I was looking around our house and DAMN is it a mess. We haven’t done any cleaning since we got Sara, except for dishes, but only because we wouldn’t have had anything to eat on or cook with otherwise. I might try to tidy up a bit later. If the weather clears up I want to work with Sara on wearing her head collar. She hates that thing because it takes her out of control and puts the person at the other end of her leash in control. One thing I’ve noticed about her is that she wants to be the boss. Not gonna happen chica.
I guess we don’t have much planned for the weekend. I have to go to target and I could go for some mexican food. Maybe Sunday the weather will be nice enough we can take a drive out to our favorite park and go for a nice hike. We’ll see I guess.
We’ve decided on camping at our favorite beach in Maine this year instead of getting a hotel. Since we’ll be going camping we’ll definatly be taking Sara. You’d be surprised though how hard it is to find a campground that allows dogs. We were originally going to go to a place in Rhode Island but they don’t allow dogs. We ended up finding that there were places at the beach we usually go to that allow dogs and I know they allow dogs on the beaches there too until after memorial day. That’s when we’ll be going so we’ll be there right before the cutoff. Last year it was kind of funny, we went out for dinner one night and the woman that worked at the restaurant has a brother that lives on our street! Small world.
So yeah, we should be all set on our trip. Driving to Maine on Memorial day weekend sucks though. We’ll prolly get our asses out of bed EARLY on, I’m thinking Friday. So we can miss at least some of the traffic. Last year, thanks to tons of morons we nearly got into a couple accidents. The toll gates around New Hampshire are the worst.
Well, I guess I should go and maybe find something constructive to do.
Oh, I HATE housework!!! I never clean, unless I absolutely have to. I hate it hate it hate it!!! There are brochures/booklets you can get (from vets or dog websites) that give you a list of motels, hotels, campgrounds, and restaurants around the country that allow dogs. One of the fanciest, most expensive hotels in Chicago (the Sofitel) allows dogs! I saw a greyhound in the lobby there once!

(grin) I am getting better at house work since I found out I might be getting more visits from my Amy – she says it doesn’t matter but I do it anyway. Hmmm!
