Once again I am reminded that coffee and grapes taste nasty together. You’d think I would learn.

Sara has earned herself some living room time. So far she’s been confined to the kitchen or her room, yes, she has her own room now. I didn’t really want to risk my most favorite rug in the house (our purple living room rug). It took me months to find a rug just the right shade of purple for the living room. I’d rather not have anything happen to it. Her accidents in the house have gotten few and far between so I’ll probably let her in the living room now while we watch TV.

Sara has also learned now that she’s big enough to climb the stairs. What sucks though is that’s the place the cats always felt safe and I can’t really baby gate the stairs because Casper can’t jump over the gate (a special thanks for that goes out to my evil ex-stepmom for having him declawed). I’ll have to figure something out though b/c the plan is to never let Sara go upstairs except for baths. Unless of course, the cats learn to absolutely love her. If the cats don’t mind her upstairs we’ll let her up but if the cats need that as theirs we’ll leave it as theirs.

I guess I don’t really have much else to say. Aside from financial difficulties life is treating us well. We’re probably not going to even be able to afford to go anywhere for our anniversary. 🙁 We usually take a trip up to the beach in Maine, it’s so beautiful this time of year. Too cold to swim but warm enough to enjoy moonlit walks on the beach. *sigh* It would have been a lot of fun this year since we could have taken Sara but I don’t think it’s going to happen. We might be able to if we camp instead of getting a hotel but I dunno. We have a tent that’s plenty big for us and Sara so we’ll see. If nothing else we might just go down to the campground half an hour away and enjoy a peaceful weekend of hiking and food cooked over a real campfire. 🙂

Well, I should probably get to work.
