Antisocial Me

My coffee tasted like ass this morning! I considered taking it back downstairs to ask for something different but that’s too much trouble and the manager down there is annoying. He already talks to me more than I’d like him to.

One of our security guards here pissed me right off yesterday. He was already on my “Annoying Person” list for telling me to smile. He’s one of those people that bugs you if you look the slightest bit unhappy. Sorry buddy but I don’t do the ole’ perma-grin. Yesterday he was trying to “relate” to me in the elevator by sarcastically saying “another day in paradise eh?” I hate people that fucking do that, he loves his job, it’s obvious. Don’t sound like you don’t if you do. I ignored him and got off. Really, if people would just leave me the fuck alone I’d like my job a lot more. I like my “JOB” just fine, it’s the people I work with that make me miserable. I don’t mind people who genuinly want to talk and make friends but the one’s that walk by and tell me to smile and make sarcastic jokes can kiss my big fat fucking white ass.

I am sooooo taking that doggie daycare job if/when it happens. I know I get along with the woman that wants to start that place just fine, she’s really nice and down to earth. I’d love to work with her. I don’t belong here in this office setting. I’m not all fake nice, happy friendly, perma-grin girl so I don’t fit in. I’m sure working with dogs I could come up with a genuine happy smile. 🙂 Who can’t smile when a cute little happy doggy is running up to you?

We’re going to be out posting no tresspassing signs this weekend. We’ve had people in our yard over the winter. We can tell because of the footprints in the snow. I don’t like people in our yard that I didn’t invite. Reason #1: The trails aren’t super safe and this is a sue happy world. If someone trips and falls and gets hurt they can sue us if we don’t have no tresspassing signs. Reason #2: I like my privacy, I don’t want to be out for a peaceful walk on MY trails and run into someone. If I want to run into someone on a hiking trail I’ll go to the damned park. Reason #3: When we go out shooting we shoot so that the bullets that miss the targets go out into the woods. I don’t want someone getting shot inadvertantly and I’m not going to walk my property before shooting to make sure people that aren’t supposed to be there aren’t there. Reason #4: It’s my property, I pay the outrageous taxes on it, and I don’t have to share if I don’t want to.

We do share, we share with people who ASK first. People who want to walk only, not ride ATV’s and crazy shit. Our family and friends walk out there, go shooting out there and stuff so we like a phone call ahead of time so we know who’s there and when so no one gets hurt.

No tresspassing signs make me not liable for anyone who’s out there that didn’t ask.

Not much else planned for the weekend. Just hiking and posting signs. Our neighbors asked if they could come over and see Sara on Saturday so that’ll be fun, they’re the people that babysit our animals when we go out of town and stuff. We’re also getting new neighbors across the street. We’re interested to see what they’re like. If they look like people we might like we’ll prolly bake them some welcome cookies. If they look like people we won’t want to make friends with we’ll prolly just give them a nice wave and a how do you do. 🙂 We can tell pretty quickly if we’ll like people, we love old people! 🙂 We like young couples that look to have their shit together. We don’t like loud, crazy party types, we don’t like people with 10 kids, that kind of thing.

Well, I should probably get to work, I want to finish up this project I’m working on today. Get some forms entered too and stuff. My performance appraisal is on Monday. Actually, I’m predicting it’s going to go pretty well and I’m hoping for a decent raise this year. I don’t think I’ll find out about the raise for a couple months after my PA. Maybe in April if we’re getting them in April this year, last year though they were fucking put off until October.
