So, we’ve had Sara for a week now. She’s grown a bit. They grow so fast!! I was looking this morning on the internet for pictures of goldens by weeks. I can’t beleive how fast they grow! In another 2 weeks she’ll be significantly bigger, it’s just amazing.
I finally got a decent nights sleep last night. I would have on Sunday night but I woke up around 3am and thought I was going to die. At first I thought it was just acid reflux again but I was in pain all day yesterday. I finally started feeling better around 10pm. Most likely food poisoning. I ate some leftovers I probably should have thrown out. 🙂 I’m so used to stomach problems though that a bit of food poisoning doesn’t slow me down. I’ve had ulcers and acid reflux since I was 12. Stomach pain is nothing new to me, as long as it doesn’t make me puke I’m good to go. 🙂
I guess I’m relatively content with life right now althought I do wish I could spend more time at home. I get sick of being at work when I have nothing to do, it feels like such a waste of life. I don’t really mind being here at all when I’ve got stuff to do. I’m itching for a road trip. We’re thinking about going to the beach in Maine again this year for our anniversary only we might take Sara. Kind of depends though, if she’s still doing that thing where she wakes up barking at 6am forget it, all the neighboring rooms in the hotel will want to kill us. 🙂 If she’s still doing that she’ll stay with our neighbors while we go, they’re up by 6 anyway and they have a golden too. I’m itchin for a real road trip though, like all the way to Oklahoma, but I don’t really want to go to Oklahoma lol. I just like to be on the road. There’s nothing like the freedom of the open road. I’d leave tomorrow and drive to Alaska if I was able. I had a dream when I was a little kid, before I realized how impractical it would really be. 🙂 I figured I’d buy one of those old VW vans and live out of that and go wherever the road took me. I’ve never cared much for staying in one place, I never expected to buy a house. I like the change of scenery. My husband has quite literally lived in the house we own his entire life (minus a couple years here and there), I think I’d go insane. He likes it though, likes being surrounded by the memories and stuff.
Ah well, I should probably get going.
I’ve always wanted to rent an RV, pack up the greyhounds, and tour America for a year or so. It would be so nice to be other places, meet new people, write a book about my travels. . . except it’s been done already. Several times. 🙁 Post more photos of Sara! I’ll bet she’ll be fine by the time you take your anniversary trip.
