Snow

14 days till we get our puppy. 🙂

So, about that snow and our snow policy:

“HSB’s policy is to stay open during inclement weather. Unless notified otherwise, employees should, using their best judgment, make every reasonable effort to get to work.

I’m at work b/c the roads were clear and when my hubby got up and checked the SNOline it said HSB was open. Shall we count how many people are actually here from my floor? Approx. 4, yeah, that’s right, I said 4. There are around 75 people on my floor on a normal day.

My husbands boss isn’t even here and mine is on vacation. For some reason I’m starting to feel like I’ve been screwed. I could be at home right now building an igloo dammit and I have NO work to do so I might as well be. We got about 18 inches or so, the snow goes up to my husbands knee’s!

*sigh*

So anyway, we obviously got home safely, the drive home pretty much sucked, but it could have been far worse. Apparently the state laid off 200 plow drivers this year and it shows.

While we were digging out this morning hubby and I took some pictures to remember the storm by. 🙂

Casper wanting to play in the snow:

I took Casper on the porch last night for a couple minutes. He LOVES snow. He was walking around shivering and purring and checking it all out. He seems to prefer when we bring it into the warm house though so he can eat it, he also licks it off our boots. 🙂

That cat looks so serene sitting there. The pictures are beautiful – though I’m sure that’s not the way you feel about it at the moment. Can’t you go home sick or something?

Casper looks so good in that background. Your area looks beautiful. I know the feeling when you get in and you realize – Hey’ Why did I do this? I could just stay home and play? Everyone else did.
