Another year passes, still more entries to write.

Yesterday was my OD-Versary. I’ve been writing on Open Diary for twelve years.

That’s a long time, and I’m looking forward to writing for another decade at least.

This is the biggest journal/blog that I have ever committed to, and over the years it has undergone some changes. Soemtimes I was just writing stuff about politics, other times it was just wall to wall movie reviews. Some things that never changed was the updates about my life and the two boys I’m raising to be the best they can be.

I look back at the entries I posted twelve years ago and it seems like another lifetime… a different Peter sitting in front of a keyboard in the University computer lab. Seems like so long ago and yet here I am, writing more entries a dozen years later. I never thought opening that account on Open Diary would amount to very much, and today it’s a staple in my daily life. My rock for when times are tough, a place where I can say what I want and express myself.

I’m a lifetime member, and I hope to stay here for many, many years. Thanks to all who have over the years made this site the awesome place that it was and still is today. I look forward to writing a lot more entries as the years pass on, and I hope you’ll stay here and share those moments with me.
