Letter Writing Week: Letter #2

I know it’s Wednesday and I missed a day, but I’ll make it up by actually posting two of them today and then get back on track for the rest of the week.

By popular request by a few people that I talked to and one anonymous note that was left here in my diary, my next letter goes out to the biggest donut & coffee chain in Canada. So here goes:

Letter #2: Tim Horton’s

To whom it may concern:

I regret to inform you that for numerous reasons, I will no longer be a client of your franchises. There are several factors that led me to make this decision.

My youngest son is on a gluten free diet. Your stores do not sell a single food item that is free of gluten. For this reason I cannot take my children to your establishments to enjoy what you have to offer. Your competitors are beginning to offer products that are free of gluten, and with the ever expanding number of people who are celiac, it’s an issue you might want to address.

I am very also very disappointed with your products as many of them now are no longer baked on site. Now they are shipped frozen to the stores and just reheated prior to serving. While I am sure this was done to cut costs, the quality of your products has dropped significantly and your food products are often stale and unenjoyable. It’s hard to claim your products are always fresh if they are made elsewhere and frozen prior to being shipped to various locations.

Based on these reasons and others I will not get into due to your character limit, I regret to inform you that I will have to look elsewhere to fill my need for coffee and other various products. If you would like to respond, please do so with the email provided.

Sincerely,

Peter

*random* but all canadians love timmy’s! though, i completely understand your reasoning for not longer being a patron. although i am not completely intolerant to gluten, i do sometimes have a bit of a sensitivity to it. however despite this, i am definitely amused by the hummer in their drive-thru in the picture.
