Volcano Burritos, Tony Jaa and Overtime!

Greetings to everyone, and I hope you all had a great weekend!

My weekend while shortened by working on Saturday was all right considering. I was invited to go out on Sunday to a pumpkin festival, but couldn’t cause I wanted to spend my one day off with my wife, and to me that was very, very important. Leah and I don’t get enough time together and it was nice to help her out around the house (lots of cleaning done) and even cuddle on the couch and catch up on a few shows we taped on our DVR but hadn’t gotten around to watching together. So I had a good time this weekend, despite not having much time to work with. Only one day off and now I’m working day one of six this week.

But one reason why I’m working six straight days is because Overtime has been approved at the center and I’m going to work my arse off for extra hours cause I need the money. With Halloween coming around the corner, costumes and candy to buy… and other end of the month stuff… I need every hour I can get, and every dollar. So with a few extra hours early each day, and working on my day off Saturday, I’ll pile up a few good hours which will make for a good cheque next week.

But I at least had enough pay after tossing most of away on bills and what not to get myself a Double Beef Volcano Burrito over at Taco Bell when I was working Saturday past. That’s two out of three volcano items I need to consume to finish one of my food goals on my 101 goal list. I’m pacing myself so I’ll likely consume the third and last item next week, which happens to be the cruchwrap. The burrito was amazing and quite filling… I might have it again, but a regular one and not one that will burn your face off.

Speaking of losing one’s face, I saw an amazing movie last night. I saw the sequel to an amazing action movie I saw a few years ago. Ong Bak 2: the Beginning and the movie was nothing short of amazing! Usually I go into movies like this expecting little as far as plot is concerned, but there was one of decent substance and the way the story was told in a mix-mash of flashbacks made the film very interesting to watch. As usual with Tony Jaa the martial arts fight scenes were out of this world spectacular. He is clearly the best action star alive today. The movie was so much more than I thought it would be, and I’m recommending it for people who love to watch action films. A lot of fun and I’m definitely going to see it again.

So that’s the mini update here from work. I gotta get back on the phones and make some money for the kids. Hope everyone else has a good week and I’m going to be back later on to do a Nano preview/update. Until then, take care…

Peter

I can’t handle spicy at all. My face would fall off even if I ate something mildy spicy. You’re a brave man.
