Blogathon # 32: My Wedding Day

Time Posted: 12:35am EST

The end of next month will be eleven years since my wedding. That’s a long time, and I’ll be the first to admit that there were times I didn’t think I would make it this far. But here we are, still around and doing our thing. Here are some pictures from that day, August 29th, 1998.

We look very happy, and we were. It was a nice day… and the event wasn’t too lavish or expensive. The wedding was in Ontario, and the day went well without a single hitch. Neither Leah nor myself shed a single tear during the event and I guess that was a sign of how confident we were going into the big day.

The only thing that almost went wrong was that we lost the Best Man’s pants for three hours. Before anyone thinks something weird, I mean he came to closet to get dressed and it wasn’t there. When it was all said and done, turns out they slid off the hanger and were at the bottom of the closet the whole time. No one bothered to look down before panicing… figures.

Leah and I never had a honeymoon. I plan to change that next year. I’m making plans to leave the little ones somewhere and then we are going to take a cruise hopefully March of next year. One, maybe two weeks of just the two of us without the kids. We need that, and I know she’s always wanted to take a cruise so this seems perfect. I’m making plans and will let people in on it the closer it gets.

It’s never too late to have a honeymoon. ^_^

That sentance about losing the best man’s pants…. I laughed way too much at that. Thank you 🙂

Very cute. And you will always have a good story to tell, when it starts with somebody losing their pants.

RYN: Holy crap. I sat here and read this entry three times just now and it still took me until the third time to see where it said that about his pants. I’m so tired. 🙁

“we lost the Best Man’s pants for three hours.” The idea of that happening made me laugh AND cringe at the same time! ~Shady
