In the home stretch…
Looks like this might be another last day finish like it was last year. I’m going to work tonight and tomorrow to avoid that, but I make no promises. I think there’s more than enough time to cross the finish line, but it would be nice to have a day or two to coast. I remember finishing early in 2006, but I was moving at the end of that month and I never had much of a chance to celebrate that year.
I also got a bit of bad news. It seems that ABC declined to keep Pushing Daisies on the schedule for the second half of the television season. To say I am disappointed is a complete understatement. I loved this show immensely, and I’ve already fired a few angry letters at both ABC and Disney for making a very huge error in judgement. The show is a critical hit, and it was nominated for 13 emmys last season. You don’t pull the plug on shows like that, you move them to another slot and give them another chance. I mean with shows like Wife Swap and Supernanny scoring lower ratings than Daisies, I think ABC’s priorites are really lacking at this time and I didn’t hesitate to let them know about it. Bad call…
So besides that everything else seems to be all right. The holidays are right around the corner, but I’m never that too much into it. Decorations are already flying up all over the place, it’s just too soon, people! But each to their own I guess. We’ve already had a few snowfalls, I guess that is all one needs to get started sometimes. But that’s all from me for now. I’ve got more words to write. Hope everyone had a good hump day and I’ll be around! Until then, take care!
Peter
Apparently they’ve already started striking the Pushing Daisies sets. Bryan Fuller has said that he plans to finish Season 2 as comics and is looking at a possible stand alone film.
