Watching the krauts lose the Euro ’08 Finals: Priceless.

It was a great final. The winning goal was stunning perfection. I used my Dad’s DVR to watch it a few times and really appreciate it’s beatuy. Everyone crashed for a nap so it was just Ethan and I up for the finals, which was cool so the St. Bernards and I lounged in the living room while I watched it on the big screen. I love it when a game goes right to the end, makes for a better finish. Germany was getting very desperate to the end, but they couldn’t get that equalizer.

I found a little of the officiating a little spotty, but it’s been like that for most of the tourney, so why should the finals be any different? Overall it was fun to watch and I hope everyone else liked it too! Well worth the wait… congrats to Spain for ending a nice 44 year drought. Couldn’t have picked a better team to end that drought against either.

It wasn’t a great match but it was a great finish and the best team won. Besides, I’m not sure if anyone likes Germany outside of Germans or people who’ve lived there.

I thought it was a fine match and Spain really deserved the win. They outplayed the Krauts the whole way. I of course missed the last 15 minutes because someone wet the bed but I saw the last minute of extra time.

I got to the Hazbeen. And I’m with popeye… not the best match ever but there was high drama and the best team won Plus, it’s nice to see an Arsenal player contribute. Mostly Cesc, but also Lehmann letting in a signature soft goal. 🙂

pher: that’s a bit harsh. loudmouth lehmann had a few shockers in the tournament but that goal was not soft on his part, but on defender lahm’s part.

I think my point is, while I’ve always like Lehmann in general, it was certainly NOT down to him that Germany reached the final. Yeah, I’d blame Lahm first, but Jens did get a late jump on the ball. I thought it was softer than either Turkey goal.
