Symphony

In today’s MP3/I-tune world, I don’t go out of my way to obtain CD’s anymore… unless under rare circumstances. The last exception I made was for the Eagles when the released ‘Long Road Out Of Eden’ and I haven’t regret that decision. For the last twenty-four hours I have been listening to the above album, ‘Symphony’ which is the newest release from Sarah Brightman. To call this album a masterpiece is a complete understatement, I’m blown away by the overwelming quality this album has from track first to last track… all killer, no filler.

I’ve been a fan of Brightman’s since I first purchased the origial broadway version of ‘Phantom Of the Opera’ and have been a fan of her work ever since. That was the album where she played Christine and Michael Crawdford played the Phantom. I still have that CD and it’s a classic. I haven’t gotten every album she’s released since, but I’ve picked up a few here and there but her last few have been above par and she’s been on bit of a good streak, and this latest album is fantastic. Even Leah who really isn’t into the artsy, classical, opera like stuff I pick up is really into the album and has asked me to transfer a few of the tracks over to her MP3 player. For her to even ask for that much was a real jaw dropper to me.

So I’ve got something new to listen to and write with. I like writing with music and I find the classical/oprea stuff easier to write with. So there is a little reason behind my madness. A little added bonus for the reader who has read this far, below is a video. The track is from the new album, a duet with Andre Bocelli. This track is one of the best songs on the new album, one of the best on the album and one of the tracks Leah asked to have put on her MP3 player, enjoy.
