Kids stay home when it’s this cold…

I called Ethan’s school this morning to let them know that Ethan wasn’t coming to school today. The lady was a little snotty to me and quickly asked if Ethan was sick. No, I replied, he’s quite well. So the reason why he wasn’t going in? Leah and Chris were at work this morning, so if I wanted to take Ethan to his bus stop, I would have had to walk both him and my two year old Jonathan to the stop in this weather:

That’s not a mistake, it’s almost negative thirty out there and right now the city is in a wind chill warning. Do you think I’m going to take my 4 year old and especially my 2 year old out in that weather? Hell no!

I let them know I wasn’t comfortable taking my kids out in that kind of weather and for that reason Ethan wasn’t going to be in. When the weather improves, then I’ll take the boys out, but for now we’re staying inside where it’s nice and warm.

Damn. It’s going to be almost 100 degrees warmer here today w/o the windchill. My mom said they’re freezing to death in Indiana, too. Stay well and warm.

I agree with you completely! I don’t want to take my son out in this weather either! Granted its only -5 windchill here, but its still too cold! Have a wonderful WARM day with your boys!

It’s -19 C here with the windchill. Probably lower yesterday because it was ridiculously windy.

I don’t blame you one bit! It’s too cold for little kids!

Yeah… it’s -3 F an we didn’t get a day off. But we did have a snow day we should NOT have had last Thursday.

Ice storms here. I want to hibernate.

HubbyMan drove the kids to their busstop so they didn’t have to wait, luckily the bus was right there, our pipes froze though because of the cold, hope you are doing well, intersting about e-bay, I’m not an ebay user, have a good day and stay warm!
