Time for a little R & R

After all the work everyone has done over the last week or so, a party is just what we need to unwind and relax. Tonight Leah and I have been invited to a costume party, and that is very cool. It’s been a while since I went to a big costume party, and I went out of my way to not only put together something cool, but economic as well. Costumes don’t have to be pricey as long as you’re willing to work on it and be a little creative. We’re going to take a lot of pictures at the party so you’ll get to see my kickass costume, which is a picture taken out of a classic action movie. Hey, what else would I do for a costume party??

Speaking of parties, this weekend is my Birthday, but I’ve got nothing planned for the big day. Originally, I was going to check out a stand up performance by Andrew Dice Clay which would have been legendary. Unfortunately, the Dice Man bailed on us and cancelled the show. Maybe next time he’s in Toronto I’ll check out the show. For now it’s just going to me and Chris and the boys cause my Mom (who is in town) and Leah are going to a huge baby shower for my cousin. Huge as in a hall at a hotel has been booked for the event. It’s going to be a massive event and I expect them to be gone for half a day, at least. That’s all right, I never was one to want a party like that. Just a little food, little drink and good company is always kickass to me, and it’s nice to have Mom in town… but she’s really hear for the shower. I don’t blame here, this is going to be one hell of an event.

So that’s my weekend in a nutshell. It’s nice to get away from the writing and the revisions for a change… and hang out with Mom and work one something else creative. Pictures of costumes and us getting trashed in them will be posted tomorrow. Until then, have a good weekend and I’ll be around after I recover.
