You gotta love her…

I was sitting in front of the computer, doddling a little bit with a new chapter, when Leah called from work. She was on a break and wanted to pass something by me. She wanted to take me out for dinner and a movie. I was a little taken back by this since we did have plans to see a football came in a few days. Chris didn’t mind and said we should have fun. What a guy, eh?

I asked Leah if there was any particular movie she wanted to see. Her response was just as surprising, “Isn’t that new Halloween movie coming out today?”

You could have knocked me over with a feather. That was a the last thing I thought she was going to suggest. We went to a local grill and had a cheap but amazing meal, and then watched Rob Zombie’s remake of Halloween, which was kinda of what you would expect from a Zombie movie. Lots of blood, gore and violence, all with a farmilar character doing the killing. It was a good remake, very loyal to the original and unique in it’s telling of the origin of Micheal Myers. But very graphic in a no holds barred kind of way that you would expect from Mr. Zombie.

We enjoyed the movie and I liked it cause it was one of those movies that had Leah cluching my arm and burying her eyes into my shoulder most of the time. There were a lot of couples there who were doing similar things, the cuddle up to and be scared together kind of film.

Didn’t take much arm twisting to get me to show up, and as I could tell by the size of the crowd… the movie might have an above average opening weekend.
