No news is… well, no news
No word from the company I interviewed with just yet. Eh, I’m not worried cause the worst case is still all right. I’ll keep looking around and do my own thing for now. Rewrites and revisions aren’t going to do themselves, so I’ve got something to keep me busy for now.
My Dad is flying north for the rest for the week. He flew up last night and is going to drop by this morning for breakfast. Chris and Leah have been in a panic to clean the place up but I haven’t been up for it as much as I should have. My feet hurt (swollen) and I’m tired all the time. This equals into not really giving much of a crap about the state of the house. He’s up here for a Wedding, not to give our home a white glove inspection. I’m not in the mood for that, and only want to enjoy the festivities that are to come later on…
Speaking of festivities, my younger brother called up last night. A shocker to say the least cause we don’t talk that much. He called to let me know that they are having a small chindig at his place for his daughter Emma who turns 1 this month. I’m well aware of my neice’s birthday because after my interview, I already hit the mall to buy her a birthday gift long before I was invited over. My original plan was to pass the gift over to my Dad who I was sure would visit them sometime this week to deliver it for me. Now I have the chance to deliver in person, so this works out a lot better and a BBQ is always fun! Leah is a little iffy about it, but I’m hoping she’ll feel better about it later in the week.
So I’ve got plenty planned for this week… and with the spare time I will likely work on the novel a little and revise a few early chapters. There’s been no further response from potential agents, but this is the wait I originally expected so that’s okay. So I’m waiting to hear back from a lot of people, but until then I’ll chill and try to relax. I hope everyone else has a good hump day, and I’ll likely be back to leave a few notes and maybe another entry. Until then, take care…
Peter
Sounds cool. It is always good to have a busy weekend. Bah! Interviews and companies…I’m fed up with them 🙂 Good luck and I hope you hear back soon x

Sometimes the whole process just takes longer. I’m interviewing people right now and I hate it because I have to interview all before I can make an offer.

It’s nice that you get to go and give her the birthday gift in person. Don’t worry about the agent thing, I’ve heard that sometimes it can be a a really long wait, but in the end I’m sure you’ll find one. Good luck with the revisions.

Glad you’ll be able to give her the gift yourself. 🙂
