A Response … already?
I really need to buy a lottery ticket, asap.
The last 24 hours have been very, very good to me. The following email was waiting for me in my inbox when I woke up this morning.
Dear Peter,
Thanks for your query. Pls email a 20 page excerpt of your novel as a word document attachment. Your work will not be forwarded or shared with others and should we not work together I simply delete the files after reading.
All best,
This came back from one of the serveral Literary Agents that I sent a query to yesterday. Even I will be the first to admit that I didn’t expect to hear a response this quick from one of them. I didn’t expect to hear back from any of the agencies that I emailed today, especially not withing twenty-four hours! Someone was interested enough to email me back as soon as possible. That has to be a good sign!
I’m going to spend the better part of the morning, cleaning up and revising chapter 2 and 3 before sending them out. The offices for this literary Agency is in Toronto so if they’re still interested after reading the chapters I sent in, I would like to set up an appointment and I’ll take a go train in to meet with them.
Man, keep your fingers crossed!
Peter
fingers and toes crossed for you!
