Someone celebrates a birthday…

Today is a special day for baby Jonathan. It’s his first birthday. I can’t believe it’s been a year since my second little boy was born! He’s gotten so big since this time last year, and right now as I’m writing this entry, both boys are watching a DVD and sitting down very quietly.

Speaking of the birthday boy, we got some new out of Nashville earlier this week. My readers will remember that in March/April when Leah and the boys were visiting Mom and Dad in Tennessee, that the boys had their portrait taken at Walmart over there. One of the pictures turned out so well, the photographer asked for permission to submit it for a national contest. To remind everyone, here is another look at the picture in question.

The angel photo. This one has been getting a lot of positive feedback from everyone who’s seen it. On Sunday, we got word from Dad that this photo that was submitted months ago, did indeed win the national photo contest. From what we are hearing, this photo will be framed and posted outside of a lot of Walmart photo shops across the country. So if you see this picture at your local mart sometime in the next year, that’s a picture of my little boy. For winning the contest, the photographer who submitted got a promotion, and we get a prize photo package worth over $600 which includes a massive framed canvas of the winning photo. Leah and Mom had no doubt we had a winning photo, it’s just nice to know that the company incharge of the photo shops agreed with us.

So that’s the biggest news from here today. The birthday boy is the toast of the town, and another year older. Where does the time go, eh?
