It’s Friday! (I’m In Love…)
Today is that time of the week again, the end of the work week. Well, I’m not sure if it’s the end of the week for me. I haven’t exactly been told what kind of schedule I’ll have for the next few weeks yet. I should find out later today if I’m working the weekend or if I’ll hit the grindstone on Monday. Either would be fine with me since I wouldn’t mind getting things started ASAP while a lot of the new info is still in my head and the days off wouldn’t be wasted either.
I have a few plans for today as well. Around 4pm today is the Mortal Kombat tournament at work. Half of the money raised from entry fees goes to charity and the other half to prizes. I’m not that good at this game, but I have been practicing on my PS2, and my goal is to use the event to meet new people and get to know my new co-workers. If I happen to do well, that will just be an added bonus. Turns out my new supervisor will be playing as well… so how often to you get the kick the snot out of your boss. Might even use a special fatality for that one.
After all my fun is done and I get back home, I have more plans for later tonight. Mom and Chris have agreed to watch the boys after they go to bed, and I’m going to take Leah out tonight for a drink and maybe something small to eat. There’s a reason why I want to take Leah out for a drink tonight, cause there is something that needs celebrating. Today is December 15h, and that day for Leah and I is a special anniversary. It was on this day in 1996 (yes, 10 years ago!) when Leah and I first met. This is a special one since it was ten years ago since we first met and swapped phone numbers. So to celebrate that moment, I’m going to take Leah out for a drink and just have a few moments to ourselves to enjoy the moment and each other. Sounds nice, eh?
So that’s my plan for today, I’ve got a lot planned today so I’ve got to get ready to tackle my day and get things on go the go. I hope everyone else has a good Friday as well, and I should be around later today. Until then, take care!
Peter

Totally weird. I was listening to that song in the car today and texted the wife and said I am listening to Friday I’m In Love and it is true. And then you write this. Congrats. Have a good time, if you know what I mean. he he
