Another day, another call…

I have some good news to pass along this time…

Turns out all that panic eveyrone had over the fact that I turned down an interview with the call center was for nothing. As expected, one of the other jobs I applied for called back and was a lot more hospitible than the last call I got. They want me for an interview this coming Thursday. I had faith that my resume would be enough to at least impress another company besides that one center. Two responses in as many days. Not to shabby. This phone call was a positive one, and I actually look forward to meeting up with this person and learning more about the position.

Another update, this time in the sports category. I was talking to my little brother Matt over the weekend, and he successfully bid on two tickets for a football game. He was surprised that he got the tickets, but his wife told him to look at the date, which was Christmas Eve. Since it will be a tad cold that day, Matt’s wife has no interest in going. He asked if I wanted to join him and without hesitation I said of course. The game we’re going to see on Christmas Eve is NFL: The Tennesse Titans Vs. The Buffalo Bills… from Orchard Field in Buffalo. Oh, yeah… Buffalo in late December is going to be friggin’ freezing! It should be a lot of fun. I haven’t seen a Bills game in forever and it was really sweet of Matt to let me tag along. It’s going to be a good time!

So that’s the new stuff from Steel City. I’m glad to see that like the weather the day got better as it went along. Later…
