Rainy day, not much to do…
I had made plans to hit the gym and pick up some stuff on the way back, but I might have to wait until tomorrow to do any of that. It’s raining really bad out there, so the boys and I will have to stay in for today and just hang out here instead. I’ll have to take advantage of the time and clean up and bit and maybe get a little laundry done as well. There are some really cool things to report on as well.
After several months of promos, the Video On Demand option on my DVR is finally working. This means I can watch or buy movies and programs and watch them whenever I want. I subscribe to the Move Network, so all the movies and shows are free to watch with On Demand cause I subscribe to it. This means Leah and I can basically order any movie we want at any time and not have to wait for it to start on the channels. I’m going to call the cable company later today to find out how much it would cost to get Treehouse or the WWE packages for On Demand. Chances are for now I’ll give the Treehouse one a chance cause we could use the chance to order a lot of shows for Ethan instantly. Should be a cool thing to use.
Jonathan is doing all right too, as he’s been getting used to his play pen which has made doing the chores easier to accomplish. Not only is he doing a lot of crawling lately, he’s standing up a lot which is impressive for eight months. Leah thinks he’ll be walking before his 1st birthday… and at this pace it’s very possible. He’s got really strong legs so the only thing he needs to work on now is his balance, and I think he’s starting to get the hang of that too.
Ethan is watching Finding Nemo right now for about the millionth time, and while I think this is a good movie I think for his birthday, Leah and I are gonna have to get a few other Pixar movies for him to check out so we can get a bit of a variety on the go. We have a copy of the Polar Express, but I hate watching Christmas movies out of season for we’ll watch that one later… maybe sooner if we get desperate enough.
I haven’t been able to get much writing done so far, but the week is young and I got more time. I have a few ideas I’m dying to get on paper, so I’ll block out some time get them down before the idea slips out of my mind. Until then I got a lot to keep me occupied for now. I hope everyone else’s week is going well, and I’m going to be home all day cause of the rain so I’ll be back to leave a lot of notes and maybe another entry if I’m up to it. Until then, take care and I’ll be around.

Hey, just a note to say I love the quotes on the front of your diary. Ah, Finding Nemo… I find if I watch films too much I get bord of them and then don’t watch them for years… rather like listening to music… but then again I’m not such a small child anymore and have past the time it becomes delightfully amusing to shout “Again!” at the end of a film. All my love, x

Hopefully he goes for some other movies too. I once babysat two girls who LOVED The Little Mermaid. Their parents tried to get them to watch something else and they wouldn’t have any of it. I think I still have the movie memorized.

thanks for the note. We went through a Nemo phase here. What’s cool about it is that it’s one of the films Emma likes to watch that doesn’t annoy the crap out of me. She’s moved on now to all the playhouse Disney stuff, Mickey’s Clubhouse and Little Einsteins and Jo Jo’s Circus, which is cool because they are teaching you something at the same time. Sara’s still stuck on Barney, which is the ultimate in annoying.
