Whistledog Omelete, anyone?
Last night was a long one. The center offered unlimited overtime, which basically means what it says, stay as long as you want as long as you still have the mental capacity to do your job. I took full advantage and when I say full advantage, I mean I clocked an extra ten hours of OT after my shift was over. I knew I had today off so I had the time to sleep in and relax afterwards. That means I clocked an 18 hour shift, much to horror of my fellow agents at the center… but I would rather do all the time in one day rather than spread it out and have no days off.
I managed to get a little over four hours sleep since then and got up to help Leah with the kids. Turns out we are almost out of diapers, so I left the building with Ethan and we picked up a few things with Ethan. He as a good boy when we were there, but he usually is when I give him an apple to munch on. After I got back from the grocery store, I decided to cook something up for Ethan for lunch. This is something I’m going to go out of my way to do often now that I’m going to be the home maker for a while. I made something interesting for Ethan, and I call is a Whisledog Omelete… made of eggs, cheese and one hotdog. Here are some picks of what I made.
Just starting out, cooking at medium head until you can flip one side over…
I find these have been easier to flip since I got this new plan last Xmas…
All done. Looks cool, eh?
This is what it looks like when I serve it to Ethan…
Ethan loves eggs and hotdogs so there’s no surprise this one was a hit with him…
So that’s my latest cooking efforts, I guess the longer I’m home the more creative and risky I’ll try to be with the foods. Thanks to my digital camera I will make more of an effort to document these for everyone, cause these make very cool entries!

My dad’s been making those eggs for years. However, he uses authentic, smoked Ukrainian sausage rather than regular hot dogs. Find a good butcher and use that kinda sausage/kielbasa.
