Little decorating for Ethan
Lately, I realised that we hadn’t done very much for Ethan’s room and it was looking a little on the bland side. So Leah and I needed to do something to at least make it look a little better for him… but we couldn’t do too much cause the place is still rented. One movie that Ethan has been enjoying a lot lately is ‘Finding Nemo’ which is that very cool Pixar movie, so Leah and I decided to see if we could use that to decorate his room. While shopping over the weekend, we found these awesome wall stickers that can be added and removed from walls without causing any damage to the appartment. So we bought a few packs and used them to give something to make Ethan’s room look a little better. So here is what his room looks like now:
These made the room look a little better, and Ethan loves them! When he first walked in and noticed them, he walked around and started naming each animal on his own. He was saying words like ‘Sea horse’, ‘octopus’ and even the names of characters like Nemo and Dori when walking around and looking at the stickers. I also put the stickers a little high cause I didn’t want him to rip them all down. They’re for looking at only, not to touch or take down. Ethan seemed to notice that and said “too high, daddy!” and Leah and laughed cause that was the point… they’re for decoration only.
The only problem we have now is that his new wall decorations clash with his bedding, which has a different movie theme on it’s own:
Hey, there is nothing cooler than a Spiderman comforter but it would be nice to get one that matched the walls. Turns out that has already been taken care of. Leah asked Mom and Dad to check the stores out in Tennessee to see if there was any Nemo stuff for a bed they could find. Turns out that not only was there a huge Nemo stuff there but it was all clearance and on sale for a massivily reduce price. So they’ve got all new Nemo stuff for Ethan’s bed, so we’ll have a consistent theme on the go, that is until he grows out of it. Hopefully this one will last for a few years…
I think the walls look really cool, and am glad Ethan at least appreciated having stuff there in his room. No one likes to have a blank wall in their room and I think Ethan was no different. Pretty cool, eh?

Cool stickers. And it’s always good to get stuff on discount…until they discover going to themovies themselves, and start demanding promotional items when they’re “hot”.

I like to stick with solid bed covers and theme out on the less expensive things. I loved Nemo too and I’m far from a child.

Very cute!! I love those wall stickies … we used to have Thomas the Tank ones for our little guys room. They’re so cute and so easy to decorate with. Our little man just grew out of Thomas though and changed his bedroom to the new Cars theme. It’s a work in progress right now. 🙂
