Blogathon # 27: proud to be a part of all this…

Time: 11:32pm Island Time (10:02pm EST)

Last year when I wrote this marathon of blogging, there was a handful of strong writers who I noted all the time and our interaction in my opinion was one of the major reasons why we managed to make it through the night. They are great writers and they are still on my favorites list. That’s a cool thing about this event, you get to meet nice people on this site who share a passion for raising money for a good cause, and that’s all you need to find some new buds to hang out with.

That was one thing I was looking forward to when signing up for this year’s blogathon. Meeting new people, getting to know people by reading their marathon entries and hopefully when the night was over adding a few of them to my already massive favorites list. I really hope everyone else using the blogathon circle takes that away from thsi event, cause everyone here has at least one thing in common: our passon to hope those less forntunate the ourselves. That my friends is a quality that build character and those are the kind of people I want to hang out with and call my friends.

When it’s all said and done, the charity we write for will not be the only winners tonight. We will for meeting and hanging around who I think are the best people this site has to offer. We’re here taking one day out of our lives to write for causes we believe in. That’s something to celebrate, and even marvel over. You should all be proud of what you’re doing. I’m very proud of you all, especially when I look at the blogathon circle and see how many people are still here and working way at things. Keep blogging away, cause when you hit the pillow when it’s all said and done, that will be the sweetest sleep you’ve had in a long, long time.

I think that enough smoozing for now. See you all in 30…

Peter

Turns out it was a blessing in disguise that my blogathon account got totally screwed up – I was without ‘net access for most of the day and would have been disqualified anyway.Still, I consider sponsoring $ten to 4 OD’ers to be worthy participation 🙂

I’m looking foward to the time when I can go to bed.. that’s how tired I am right now, but this is so important it is keeping me going. I’m really glad I did this.
