Baby Boy, Born 7:07 AM EST

I’m proud to announce the birth of my second son, Jonathan Sebastian. He was hatched at 8:37am Island time, which is 7:07am EST. He’s eight pounds, seven ounces. Both Leah and the baby are doing well, and I’m home to take a nap and get some stuff before heading back. Grandma and Ethan are doing well too, and I have a full roll of film that I am smitten to develop so that everyone can see what Jonathan looks like.

Leah was scheduled to have a Section done this morning, but it wasn’t without a little excitement. Her water broke around 3am this morning, so we checked in a few hours earlier than expected but Leah still went in as scheduled… just had a few rounds of contractions before doing so. But she’s a real trooper and did just fine. Everyone is doing all right, and I’m going to take a nap myself since Ethan is snoozing away himself right now.

I will likely post another entry tomorrow or later tonight, until then, I hope everyone’s week was half as good as mine’s been so far!
