Less than a week away…

Let the countdown begin: we are less than seven days away from Leah’s scheduled C-Section. This means that no matter what happens, we’ll have two kids by that time at the latest! I’ve very excited, and I’m curious how Ethan will react to being a big brother. The plan Leah and I have been tossing around is the keep Ethan involved but also give him his own time to let him know that he’s still very important and a major member of this family. I really think Ethan is caring enough to make a kickass big brother and believe that he’ll be there for his baby brother/sister when needed. He seems like he’ll be that kind of bro.

Leah is getting bigger and bigger by the day, and one can only imagine how much more room she can make for the little bugger. I’m sure she’s eager to get the little one out and in the open so she can relax and get this parenting thing on the go again. Well, the day after the Section is booked, my Dad flies in to pitch in as well… so no matter how busy things get at work, there will be plenty of hands to help out over the holidays for Leah and Ethan. While it will be a tad crowded in the small appartment with so many people here, I’m working on a floor plan which I hope works out in the end… but we’ll manage.

Speaking of appartments, Leah contacted our landlord to find out if or when we’d be able to upgrade to a 3 bedroom appartment to make more room for our new edition. Not only are we #1 on the waiting list, chances are the next available place will be just down the street from where I work. So instead of being a 2 hour walk away from work, I’ll only be a 15 min trek away from the call center. This will make the cold walks home a little easier and Overtime cheaper to clock. And becasue the appartment is in what is considered a not as busy a place to rent out (Not in the Univeristy area like this appartment is) we’ll get a 3 bedroom place for the exact same price we’re paying now for two. That’s a break that Leah and I badly needed… so if/when a place becomes available, chances are we’re going to pounce on it and make this happen. Ethan and the new baby deserve a little spcae, don’t you think?

So that’s where I stand right now. While I’m planning on doing a little shopping and stuff tomorrow on my day off, I plan to just relax and take things easy and hang out with my little guy. So I hope everyone had a tolerable Monday and a half decent week. I’ll be around to leave a few notes, hopefully. Until then… take care.

Peter
