Wiggles, gifts and boxes from home…

Leah is working late today and is closing up because she was late getting into work today. She was late cause today was her monthly checkup for the new baby. Leah has gained 7 lbs since her last checkup, which is all right considering its been seven weeks since her last visit. Her last two visits were cancelled cause her doctor was called into the case room both times. It happens, and from what I gathered all is well with the new little one. The doctor also disagreed with the due date the person at the ultrasound set, and stuck to her own due date of Dec 26th. We’ll, I guess we’ll find out which one of them is right this time out.

Ethan went back to daycare again today, even though I had the day off and wanted him to stay home again. Leah didn’t want him to get too attached to staying home with Dad, saying one day is enough. But because I was home, Leah was able to sent Ethan home a few hours early so I could feed him supper and give him a bath all before Leah gets home. I took out the crock pot and made the same Beef Stew that I made over a month ago. I made a few substitutions, and it still turned out quite well. Ethan ate most of his, and did quite well. I hope Leah likes it when she has a bowl when she gets home.

Right now Ethan is lying infront of the TV and is watching his favorite Wiggle DVD. His absolute favorite is “Wiggly Safari” which guest stars the Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. I have a feeling Ethan really likes this DVD the most because of the Crocodile Hunter, which Ethan calls ‘Eve’ (short for Steve), so I’ve considered getting one of the Discovery DVDs with just Steve Irwin for his birthday to see if he likes watching that too. They’re quite educational and Leah enjoys watching his show too so everyone will enjoy it. I’ll update you guys on that when I give it a try. Speaking of gifts for Ethan, a box that was shipped from Tennessee (from Mom & Dad) arrived today. Unfortunately, I was sleeping when the mail man knocked on the door and so it’s not sitting at the post office, waiting to be picked up. So I’ll have to take care of that tomorrow morning before I got to work.

In that box are birthday presents for everyone. Some for Ethan who turns two in one week, a few for Leah who turns 29 at the end of the month and ven a few for me. I hit the big three zero on October 28th. I’m booked to work that day, but I have the next two days off after it, so I’m looking forward to celebrating my first thirty years all weekend long. Seems like a plan, but I can’t guarentee it might happen. Would be a lot of fun to do, but we’ll have to see if things fall into place for it as well. We would also require a babysitter, but I’ll mess with all that stuff later.

EDIT: After Ethan went to bed, I stayed up and watched Rockstar INXS. I’ve been getting into the show, and was not surprised that Jordis was the next to go. We’re in the final four, and two of them left over are Canadian! Would be cool of a Canuck turned out to be the new lead for INXS. But that’s it for now, I’ve got to give Ethan a bath, everyone have a great night and I’ll be around, maybe.

Does Ethan listen to Baby Einstien music? My daughter is using it in her 2nd grade class. The music is classical and she said the kids really like it. It stimulates intellect.
