blessed by the seat of my pants

S0 my current real paid job invites me to try to name what I want to say in about 55-ish perfect characters.

So here’s what’s up. Hubby and I enjoyed an empty nest for two glorious years. During that time our two daughters, youngest and oldest (in birth order) pursued their dreams with aggression and vigor. Master’s degree-and Peace Corps dreams… a marriage, an engagement. We gained a son-in-law beloved by us and by our sons – the brother my son never had – and we welcomed into our family the kindest man we have ever known in my youngest daughter’s fiance. Then a hiccup to that one. Youngest just found out that her fiance that she had been living with had NOT, in fact, actually been in school for the past at least 2 semesters.

He has been lying low, and the panic in her voice motivated Hubby and me to cancel our weekend plans and obligations and just go hug her. we have given them relationship “homework”

Meanwhile, my son has been home with no job or much motivation, just short of one course of a college degree – so burned out so hard — so already took the class abroad but made a “minus” grade lower than the grade his college was looking for. So much tension with him home with no plan and not listening to us… well the good news is that he has got himself into the coast guard – We are so proud of him and so glad that he will soon be out of our upstairs!!!!!!
