Of Oceans and Love.

Cool air running through my lungs, body and mind statue still as the ocean draws in her breathe. Moments echo in the blackness of night only the panoply of stars above could divine my truths, seering through the silent black to draw them to sight, to dress me in all my perfect flaws and raw emotion.

Night she caresses me with the wake of waves, their whispering call as they draw back to their mother. Back beyond the ripple of the surface, sand tugging at my feet as they stand there. Deep shoals and the flicker of eel grass as the undertow trolls for the ocean’s next sacrifice.

I am happiest alone here in the confines of her brine stung shawl, the wind at my back and my line soaring upward only to arc down and the game is afoot. Patience armored in a smile as I stand invincible as no trouble can break me, here I draw to center amidst the woven raw beauty which is the sea.
