Easter Weekend Happenings…

So the weather these last two days have been a real boon, we got outside and really enjoyed despite being involved in chores

  • assembled aforementioned bike trailer and took Nina’s bike & the trailer tires to the gas station to air them up only to find that Nina’s Trek mountain bike tires had a strange inflation tip which left the standard everyday hose across America useless. I came home and instead of getting aggravated from this roadblock I recognized it, internalized a bit at how annoying this was and actually found my bike hand pump which actually married well to the fitting. What wasn’t cool was the amount of time needed to air these tired up by hand, I think I would’ve had more success jacking off a camel. Boy my wrists are tired. So the whole debacle becomes a bit more slower as I did not know Nina’s bike well enough to fit the front tire, not knowing I pull the brakes apart to slide it in. Let me tell you now, only the cobblestone beside me knows the curse words that ecked out of the hole in my head.
  • My brother came over with a half a truck load of wood which served him no use since they were small sections that folks would otherwise frown upon. Hell they were just the right size.
  • My brother also brought over the chainsaw, a beautiful Stihl model, it hummed all pretty and for a split second all I could think of was:

  • I also potted the four rasberry plants which I got in the mail from Territorial Seed Company. I had some old broken pots which I broke down and used for drainage at the bottom of the plastic pots. They’re pretty large so I’m hoping we see some sort of progress. They’re in the back yard now just hanging in a sunny spot.
  • I met with the electrician to discuss my electrical box situation, I want to move it since it is in the appartment, I’d leave that box and have another set up on my side of the basement. The electrician is a contact from when my father had the rental property worked on. Tom is a standup guy and a master electrician so I know it’ll be a good outcome. Beyond this I want to put in a flood light at the side of the house where the gate is, besides the tenants I’m on that side when I’m loading up firewood at night.
  • Sushi Park in Commack for dinner. So much goodness and so little time. I had lots of eel rolls, so damn good.
  • Paid my mortgage & other bills, the quantities seem to be going down, this is good and I’m hoping that I can finally catch up this year. I’d really like to be debt free before the year’s up.
  • Little Joe’s outfit for Easter is all laid out.  I will being taking photos in the a.m. 🙂

Ok, that’s all for now.
