It’s been raining the last few days, always happens in March we get this sweet patch of gold and then a big pot of crap. It will most likely be spotty sunshine once a week. This weekend looks to be the time which will be great. My brother and I plan on meeting up here to go over the chainsaw I’ll be getting and all it’s needs & maintenance requirements. I honestly can’t wait so I can start chopping up the trees that fell next door.

In other news I took little Joe off with me to the insurance company to get rates for term life insurance. Meh, rates were high. Like 85.00/mo for a 1/2 million of coverage for 20 years.

I spoke with my father in law who did life insurance for some time and he says I won’t get a better rate after I go to a savings bank. I’m all about this and wish I knew earlier. My wife says he gave me this information before but I don’t recall him saying savings banks.

Anyhow, I had an interview today at home depot for a part time position as a cashier which if I can lock in for a few days during the week I’ll be happy. Plus the scenery there wasn’t too bad while I waited 15 minutes in the personel office.

I’m not sure if I mentioned but I got notice from NYPD that I passed their test and am awaiting notification if/when/how to proceed to the next stage in the process.  It is a long shot but if I get the gig it’d be an incredible opportunity to be part of.

I got to reconnect with a good friend tonight and we had a great talk, I need more of these of course.
