Where were you the day the Republic died?

bye bye levi’s button fly’s
gone are the days of civil rights and apple pie
we sit back helpless and watch the last eagle die
politicians sit back, smile and lie.

I generally don’t go on a rant, nor would I call this one but it seams to me that with last night’s events in D.C. we have succumbed to a path which will undoubtedly be our undoing. It seems as if the goal is to exhaust/bankrupt the government coffers and crash the system into no choice but socialism.

I mean the next thing they’re planning on discussing is the illegal immigrant situation and an amnesty.

Where are we going to get the money to support this system?

Our government is already having difficulty finding money to pay for things and now this? Honestly this is just a road to ruin.

It was nice living in America while it lasted.

I wish I had adequate words in response…

Random noter: Well if the US can’t manage to provide something as basic as healthcare to its citizens without falling apart, then yes, I would agree you’re on the way to ruin.

socialism? so you don’t agree with the socialist way that the govt pays for all major roads in the country? or the public schools? it does sound like th US is determined to get itself into irrevocable debt, but healthcare reform is needed. perhaps the US govt should stop getting into wars with other countries instead…

No one really knows what’s gonna happen in the future. I just hope it turns out better than it is now.

It can get worse, but not much worse than what we’ve been dealing with the past 10 years or so. I am looking forward tot he new healthcare system since the current one has been broken too long.
