Vacancy

So today I spent most of the morning generating CAD shop drawings for a project in Montauk. They’re using Pyrolave which is made in France, entirely from cut to finish and I have to produce exacting drawings of what was there. Funny how when we start to review he wants me to scale back to using 16th’s instead of 32nd’s. Apparently they don’t like 32nd’s at this shop, meanwhile at the old place it was commonplace. Rick likes to round up, I’m guessing he just doesn’t find it necessary or just annoying to calculate. That is what a cheat sheet is for though.

After this was done I finished the last bathroom for Richard Gere’s house, we’ve been working on it for sometime and between the interference/"management" on their part it proved to be less than ideal working situation. we wasted 2 months time chasing around material they didn’t even know the name of and mistook it for White Carrara, meanwhile it was Statuary and the version they got was not to my liking even after we had submitted magnificent blocks from italy we would’ve been able to procure. Bleche.

Nina’s got her punctuatation yesterday so she’s been in rare form.

H2 has been great, trying every other second to stand up and walk the perimeter of anything he can. Right now it’s been the coffee table and hearth gate in the living room and the stair spindles in the hallway. Best part is watching him finally get tired and he tries to figure out how to sit down again. Makes me laugh.

In other news I got the notice from the Federal Parks Police.

I passed the initial test.

The physical test is 1/30/10.

If I pass this then I wait for placement for training (18 weeks) in Georgia. Beyond this it is 2 years in D.C. then a lateral transfer to NY..

I can only keep training at the gym and keep my nose to the grindstone.

Ok. That’s all from me.
