dub step mysteries and help wanted!

I never thought that the secret to getting Nugget to take a nap in the mornings was dubstep!

I have been playing it per Jonathon’s request and the baby has been taking a nap every time! Interesting indeed.

It’s surprising because the child will wake up out of a dead sleep to boogy down to most music, so to be lulled into a deep rest to the dirty drop is very interesting to me.

i am currently typing this using my tv as a monitor and the tiny little keyboard my hubby got me yesterday is taking some getting used to. I keep deleting everything. lol.

anyway, so i’m going to go ahead and apply for this reporter position, even if it does scare me to death. I would like to write serial fiction because I don’t consider myself to be a book/movie/music reviewer, which is the primary focus of the site. I would like to hope that the fact that I am different will help me to stand out. Or maybe I’m not very different and I won’t stand out at all. Regardless, I am going to do it and I’m asking a few people to look at my submission to see if it sucks. lol.

I guess i just worry that they will be like "lady, we want reviewers, not fiction writers!"

I can do reviews if they want! It’s just not my forte.

I have been thinking about doing zombie movie reviews on my website, and I’ve watched a few with the express reason of reviewing of them and I’ve just never written them.

aw man, maybe I should just do one and submit that.

WHAT DO YOU THINK I SHOULD DO?!

I need your input pls. lol. HELLLLLP.

I’m a mess.

help.

loveyou

Movie reviews can be invigorated with a bit of fiction now and again. Not regarding whatever it is you’re reviewing but injecting some of your personality can be as much or little fiction as you want. I love writing reviews if given a little freedom so just consider them as a writing exercise; a way to stick to deadlines and whatnot.

Many of these sites have very explicit application instructions and will immediately throw out anything that doesn’t fit the mold. That being said, I’ve never seen one yet that doesn’t ask for either an attachment or a link to a work sample – so I think a zombie movie review would be an asset almost anyplace! Good luck!

I fail to note on lots of entries that I should note on. 🙂 Thanks for sharing! My secondary plan for maternity leave was to investigate writing or editing professionally but so far I’ve been too intimidated to even casually look into it.

Hugs do what you feel is right honey. I hate doing that with a keyboard when I’m used to typing fast.

I had to come back to this entry, because I meant to leave a note on it when you posted it… because that whole dubstep thing, I had a conversation with someone about it once before, and how I’m WAY more productive at work when I listen to that genre as opposed to others. There’s something about it that helps me focus. It’s weird. The other person was the same way. It like helps clear your mind.
