Cute Baby Break

Nugget update!!!

He’s 10 months now. wowza! He is actively walking, but can’t stand up once he falls (unless he’s using a couch or something to pull up on), so essentially he will go around the room a few times and then he’s down for the count. Ha ha. It’s really cute thought. he holds his hands up in the air and flaps them like a little bird.

He is also mischievous. He likes to eat little bits of paper towel and when I catch him he "runs’ away from me and laughs. It’s hilarious.

Speaking of laughing, his favorite game is when i cover my head with a blanket and he pulls it off. He cracks up every time, it’s adorable.

He loves when we read books and will sit through most stories without trying to run away. He will bring me books and look through them on his own, it’s really cool.

He is very smart and will use "tools" to get things he wants. The other day we caught him using a hair comb as a rake to grab things that were out of reach on a shelf.

He still has no teeth. ha ha.

He nurses about 75% of the day and will eat some fruit and cereal at breakfast, some snack type nibblets at lunch (like cheese or little bites of what I’m eating) and mashed up whatever I’m eating at dinner (unless it’s spicy, then he just gets vegetables and a carb of some kind). He still nurses every 2-3 hours or more when when we are at home, but he can go all day without nursing if we are out and about and we don’t get a chance.

He still sleeps in my bed. I haven’t the heart to let him cry it out and I haven’t had the presence of mind to do any gradual techniques so far. I’m sure we’ll get there some day. I will put him into his crib once he goes to sleep, but it lasts about 2 or 3 hours before he wakes up and wants out.

It’s not for everyone, but its what i’m doing now. and I’m fine with it.

Ummm what else.

He likes to babble on and on and uses only a few signs very sparingly. I can’t wait for him to sign more often. He looks at me when I am signing like he’s absorbing it and some signs he recognizes because he grins when I do them, but he’s not really into doing them a lot these days.

Oh! He has also fallen in love with the swing. He didn’t really love it much when he was smaller but now he’ll get in and sit quietly swinging in bliss for a long time. It lets me do a little cleaning!

Currently he is walking around the living room spitting and wagging his fingers.

Yep, that’s my silly boy.

I gotta go get ready to go to the dr. with jon. we are evaluating his medication. I hope they don’t change it. bleeeeeh.
