nugget talk: week 1

Here’s a few things I don’t want to forget!

The first 5 weeks!!! I will write about one a day

I still have to write about my recovery, for my own memory purposes, but I’ll do that later.

Some things about Nugget and his first 5 weeks.

Week one, after we got home when he was about 2.5 days old was very groggy and nappy. I don’t think I put him down or let him be away from me for longer than 5 minutes. We were attachedat the hip. We had a few visitors,b ut that’s it.

I relished those days. He was so tiny and small. We’d swaddle him up really tight and he was just the smallest little thing. My hand could cover his entire head. He was just a little sprite. I called him baby head and love muffin and sweetum pie. lol. Oh his nicknames are priceless right?

He really didn’t cry much, only when he wanted something. He had that wonderful baby smell. Oh man it was just perfect. He was amazing. His head covered in soft black hair and his little eyes peeking open at me now and then. I was in mommy heaven. I relished every second. Every movement I realized was the same as when he was inside of me.

I cried a lot. I felt like he needed to never be upset or ever feel insecure. He was still supposed to be inside of my tummy and I had to make sure he felt just as safe and happy.

Breast feeding actually started out really well. He latched on immediately and without much trouble at all. My milk came in by the second day and we really did well with it.

I miss those first days already. ahhhh.

*cry*

We just laido n the couch with Baboo and enjoyed our time. The house was clean and everything was peaceful. My kids came home about a day after we did and they really loved their new baby brother. I think they were unsure as to what to do with him, but they did love him. They call him the cutest baby in the world. lol.

I wish I had written about things sooner, I have already forgotten so much. He is sleeping right now, but stirring. I will have to go soon.

I’ll come back tomorrow and write more.

I realize this is snoozer town for most of you! but ohhh well.

I STILL LOVEYOUPEOPLE! *MUAH!*

Not snoozer town at all! I’m TTC so I lived through mommy heaven vicariously for a second :P. Sounds amazing, and nothing like new baby smell! lol.

It’s not snoozer town for me! I’m jealous and envious and I can’t wait until I can have a baby of my own..

It’s good to have reminders of these early weeks for later.

This is all very adorable, I’m glad you’re so happy with your little guy. 🙂

You write when you write I guess. Like what you do write. Can’t wait and want to see some more soon. Hugs.

“He was just a little sprite” awwwwwww!!

Definitely not snoozer town! I love all the nicknames you give Nugget. When I was preggo with Tristan, we called him “Killer” – a nick name still used today lol

It’s almost like when they are little you give them a million nicknames and wait to see which one sticks.
