Practice Labor, oh fun

Well, he’s not born yet, but I don’t think it’ll be much longer.

First, New ticker: We all know that Mommy is trying to think of ways to get me out… she might even try S-E-X! I’m 36 weeks old, only 28 days to go.

That ticker is false. S-E-X only works if your husband wants to hit that. Mine does not.

It is sad when the first time your vagina is touched is by your doctor checking your cervix.

And you feel a little naughty that you got it done by two different hot female doctors in one night.

lol

Yeah, that’s the story of my crazy ass life last night.

Lets have a boring run down!

12:00 PM: I got a headache. I ate lunch and it didn’t go away, so I took my regular 1000 mg of acetametiphine (or tylenol or whatever!).

2:00: Headache is raging full force. No relief. I’m a bit disturbed and chug down lots of water, no change

5:00: Baboo gets home and my head is spinning I am not sure if I can ignore it anymore. I feel awful.

6:00: Call the hospital and get told to come in.

6:30: Arrive at the hospital and get checked in. Blood pressure is high (160/88) and I feel like poop

7:30: First Dr. arrive. Nice blonde lady. She gives me an IV, Vicodin, and some anti nausea meds. I’m to be monitored for a while while blood work is processed and the baby and my blood pressure are reviewed on the monitors. I ahve to pee a few times. A nurse who wasn’t "my nurse" helped me out and she reminded me of my wifey. lol.

11:00ish: Second Dr. Shows up. Pretty Asian lady. She says my labs are fine and I can go home! Yes, it did take that many hours for them to feel like they could release me. I am excited to leave but we have to wait for the final release papers and the like.

11:15: I get a sudden burning stabbing pain right in the middle of my chest at the top of my uterus. It wraps around to my back. I break out into a terrible sweat and I can barely breath. It happened right after a pretty intense contraction, but one of like maybe 2 that showed up on the monitor the entire time. I freak out and call the nurse who calls the dr. She thinks it might  be gall stones or pre-eclampsia or something else. She orders more labs and I get hooked back up to everything. Oh noes. She checks my cervix. I am 1 cm and thick, so no major progress, but maybe I am starting labor. It’s a wait and see game now.

I proceed to have intense major contractions that register like huge mountains on the monitor for about an hour and a half.

Then they stop completely. the pain subsides. I was given Morphine during this time, but it didn’t do much except for make me dizzy. I get maybe 15 minutes of sleep. Whee!

2:00 AM: My normal Dr. comes in to check me! Miracle!!!! I pray she is there when I do go into labor but it’s so comforting to see her. She is also young and pretty, lol. she checks my cervix again and it’s the same as before. I am free to go but if I have any pain, headaches and all the rest I have no choice but to come in. I can’t just "wait it out" at home, which sucks.

2:30 AM: we finally leave. My boys, who have been in the waiting room all this time are sleeping on chairs with blankets. Some nice people in the waiting room gave Jacob a snack (water and a lunchable, awww) and they are both exhausted. Oddly, Jon my oldest, is a whiney baby about it all. Jacob is cool about it and in good spirits. go figure.

When we get home I am feeling some sporadic contractions and I can’t sleep until about 4:30 am.

I woke up this morning around 9. I feel different and I definitely think I’ll be having this baby soon. I will be surprised if i make it another week if I’m honest. I have the weird upper chest pain and contractions off and on already. I’m going to be timing them for the most part. Consistent contractions for 2 hours will send me back to the hospital, no doubt.

I also had a terrible wave of nausea like I haven’t had for weeks. I was throwing up bile but there was nothing much in my stomach to come out. I feel "off" and "weird"… so I know it’s coming.

Nugget will be here soon.

Now I’m gonna eat chicken for breakfast.

Because I want to.

Oh yeah, I have a ticker. Look at that!

July 11, 2012

July 11, 2012

Sounds like quite an experience last night. But hooray for hot doctors at least. 😛 ((hugs)) Hope you’re feeling better now.

Please take it easy. I know you are sick of pregant, but everyday is warms inside he gets stronger, more ready. Babies these days have to keep up with deer development, up and running in an hour or two. He can use the time and so can you…but that being said I am soooo excited for you. I hope that soon nookie returns to your life and oh, baby pictures. I wait with baited maternal instinct.

July 11, 2012

I know that baby will be here soon it’s just a matter of time honey.

So excited for you. Can’t wait until you are holding your new bundle of joy!! Hope it’s soon.

July 11, 2012

i am excited to see nugget soon. but the false labour stuff sounds scary.

I went through all that crap when I was pregnant with my son but they wouldn’t do shit for me and were so mean I wanted to kill them. I hope you feel better…or at least don’t get any worse<3

You definitely predicted this one right. What a night! You must have been exhausted today!

July 11, 2012

At least you got your va-jay-jay touched 😉 xxxxxxxxxxx

Poor baby! What an exhausting time. I hope little man makes his debut soon. It will be so worth it when he is here, but I’m sure you’re ready to be done with all the shenanigans already. Get lots of rest hon.
