officially gave notice
So, I’ve officially given notice.
I was only prompted to try a different option, which Baboo thinks i should try.
The second option is to see if my Dr. will put me out on pregnancy disability starting now (or whenever lol) and then take as much time off as I can with that (burning up all my sick time that I have left, which is a little over 200 hours at this point) and however much I can take unpaid up until and then after the baby is born and if I still want to resign at the end of all that, I can.
so I’m gonna see at my next dr.’s appt (which is like in 2 weeks or whatever the hell) if she’ll put me off work. That’ll be my deciding factor.
If she doesn’t and says I have to wait til July or whatever, I’m resigning as of June 1, like planned.
If she says "oh sure, I’ll put you off for the next 8 months" then I’m off for the next 8 months.
The Doctor will decide it all for me.
In the meantime, I plan on organizing a lot this week and making sure my desk is spotless to any observer who has to come by and use it. that’ll be hard because this thing is a beast of paper and crap. I just have to start throwing stuff away. I CAN DO THIS!

My boss bought me lunch today because she loves me. lol. She also gave me the CUTEST shawl thing which I will prance around in many a morning of joy.
I’m such a goof.
I should get back to "work"… who knows how many days I have left! ha ha!

Just saw you on the front page! 😀 I’m glad you talked to your boss about the possibilities of resigning, and I’m glad that they weren’t just immediately like “k cya later!” either. I mean, I know regardless you are leaving eventually, but I’m sure it feels nice to know that they’d like to keep you around if they can.

They picked up on it because when I go out of the country, I make sure I let my bank know so my card will work in whatever country I am in and how long I plan to be gone. The bank could only tell me that it was out of country Amazon purchase attempt.

Hopefully the doctor will do that, the fact that you have diabetes should swing that decision, I think they should anyway especially because of how stressed out you were last week, don’t forget to mention the stress to your doctor and how high your blood sugar was because of it.

Ryn: I hope it does work exactly the way you want. My sister-in-law if a stay at home mom and though it wears her out she tells me she is happy to have made the choice to do so. And honestly, I think if i would have stayed with the ex, i would have wanted her to be stay at home, it makes a world of difference. Good luck and best wishes.

that’s nice that your boss is being supportive. hope your doc can sort that out too so you can use all your sick time too before leaving.
