Mini Van Mom
well, I have updates!
Saturday:
*Went shopping… Baboo had extra money. Bought some super cute baby outfits for cheap at Carters, a new bed set, sunglasses. I was pampered. I’m considering that my Mothers Day gift.
Sunday:
*On a whim stopped to test drive a mini van. bought the mini van. lol!
It’s a used 2009 Toyota Sienna ELX (or EXL, whatever, the super fancy model with freakin leather seats and a moon roof!)… WITH SIX THOUSAND MILES ON IT.
yeah, 6,000.
that’s obscene!
but awesome.
but terrible.
We had already said we did NOT want a second car payment, but now we have one.
oops,
but so worth it.
Our family is too big for that Nissan and now I feel very safe and happy.
Meanwhile, that is the second part of my Mothers Day gift and I will not ask for anything on "Mothers Day" except for hugs from my family. that’s all I want.
I’m so blessed I could spit.
This van i so nice. It has automatic doors. I push a button and they jus topen like magical wonders. The trunk too. And the folding down seats will be so awesome for all the crap we lug around and buy and I’M SO EXCITED TO HAVE A MINI VAN.
I know, I totally suck at being ‘young" but screw you. I love my mini van. I’m gonna hump it later.
Oh yeah. hump the van.
My husband traded in his sporty Lexus so we could have a down payment on the thing. honestly, it was so amazing of him. I am so blessed by having a man who is not selfish and did what he had to do for our family. I have to say I’m stil in a little bit of shock from it all because it was just not even a thing. he just did it. I love him so much. And he loves us.
this is where I’m supposed to be and I wouldn’t change a single bit of the hell I lived through because I want this life that I have right now with this amazing awesome man of mine.
MUSH GUSH PATROL!!!!
anyway, now I’m at work and today is the day I tell them I’m resigning at the end of this month. I’m scared about it, but it must be done. A part of me wants to work an extra 2 weeks to get ONE LAST pay check (we’ll need it!) but .. it looks like the 1st is when I’ll officially resign. My last day at work will be May 31 because I would have that Friday off and I most certainly will be taking it!
so… there we go.
In about an hour I’ll be telling my supervisor. I’m a bit nervous about her reaction, but what can she really do except for realize that they have to make plans for me to NOT be here and that I’m actually being really nice about it.
I don’t know.
It’s scary.
This is my first job (well working for the city) and I’ve never resigned or changed positions before. I mean, I’ve promoted and moved out of certain divisions, which is sorta like "leaving"… but this is LEAVING LEAVING… like for good. eek!
But it’s what we are doing and I am not looking back. I’m going to work my ass off to write and put out my novels and shop for an agent and work on whatever I can to get my books out there for people to read. Never know what’ll happen at that point?
Right now I have about 9 books that need editing that I can release in the upcoming months. I want to get at least 4 of them out this year. Or more. Depending. So… eek! I will be asking for pre-reading/editing help. I know I have a few people who really enjoy doing that so I’ll be hitting you up! ha ha.
Alright, I should go work.
My days here are numbered.
25 days.
wow.
oh! ONE MORE THING!!!
I have figured out how to utilize adobe illustrator and I am making it my bitch. My sketch for the Name Survivor Girl Contest will be done in a few days if I work on it a little each night (and it’s coloring AWESOMELY, just like I wanted, but more work, ha ha) and I can’t wait to show you all!
I fixed her eyes. I think I have her back.
WOO HOO!!!!!
finally… i sorta stink. I don’t know why. I keep smelling sweat. It has to be me.
I’m a stinky mini van mom.
hell yeah.
Oh yeah, I have a ticker. Look at that!

I want a new car soooo bad. We don’t have AC in the Subaru and keep reminding Dave that next summer we cannot have all the windows down because of the baby. I think I will finally get my way, since he mentioned looking next spring for a new ride. I want a minivan because Breaker is absolutely huge and barely fits into the ‘Ru. You are giving them more than 2 weeks notice, which is more than most people usually give. You’re being a good employee even with all the fuckery they put you through.

Watch out, before you know it you’ll be driving to soccer practice!

RYN: No strangers have asked yet, but I think it is because I just look fat, not pregnant. hehe. I plan on getting a tshirt that I found online somewhere that says “Yes, I’m pregnant. No, you may not touch my stomach. Yes, I am going to eat that”.

I’ve always wanted a van. Put a mattress in the back and rope lights with little curtains on the windows. Yeeeeeah. I wanted that kind of van.

I already loved the first pic you showed us of the survival girl sketch so I can’t wait to see what you come up with! What a great van, Toyota’s are really amazing, if we didn’t live in such a cold climate I’d want a Prius! So happy for you and Baboo is amazing, how selfless of him 🙂 YAY less than a month of work left !!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!

RYN: I’m trying to find the link! I had it bookmarked, but my computer took a shit, so I’m using the mister’s. I did come across one that said “Virgin”, which is another one I really want.

Look at you! You’re such a soccer mom. 6,000 miles is awesome for a 2009. Good job on getting a great and safe van. And resigning! I’m glad I caught this entry. I think I need to force myself to start coming here more often

Yay mini van. Hey, it aint no thang to rock a mini van, I do and you know how cool I am!

Awesome! I so wish we had an AWD Sienna! Unfortunately, it still costs too much in gas compared to my Prius and the Prius is usually fine as far as good enough with space, so we’ll stay with it for now. Congrats though! (:
