Developments! *EDIT (not good)

Developments!

Last friday, Personnel dept sent out emails to the people in positions that were being considered for lay offs (to give them a chance to put in applications for transfers to other departments that may be able to absorb them)… and I didn’t get one!!!! That means, for NOW, my job is safe! I want to take a moment and say, with all seriousness, that I thank God for really watching out for me. Even if I do eventually get put on the chopping block, for now, my job is safe. I have been watched over with this job from the VERY BEGINNING.

I’ve told the story, it was my first interview, I was going to school. They offered me the position and HELD IT for over a MONTH which is UNHEARD OF… so that I could finish my school semester and schedule classes around my work schedule. Well, a few weeks after I got the job, I learned I was PREGNANT with Jonathon (and subsequently dropped out of school)… and he would be due right after I passed probation (and therefore, I couldn’t be fired… ha ha! job secured!)…

So yeah, this job has always been, what I considered, a gift from God. I am a bad sinful heathen and I don’t follow the things that I was brought up to believe in, and I’m not going to say it doesn’t bother me. I think about going to church all the time, and regaining that part of myself… but I feel like it will make me feel bad for doing some of the things that I do… simple as that.

I’m a bad girl and I don’t want to change.

At least I’m honest.

I do think, after Baboo and I get married, that will change. I’ll feel more ready to realign. It’s never a good idea to wait. We are not guaranteed tomorrow. but… that’s my plan anyways… do you care? Probably not!

ANYWAY… for now my job is safe. I don’t know what will happen or if that will change. I’m not sure if they’ll order more lay offs or WHAT… but I’m certainly glad to feel a little secure for now. I’m not going to get ahead of myself, but yeah.

I feel bad for my staff though. Almost everyone else in my section is in danger, except for me and my supervisor. and if we lose the last two girls in our section, that means her and I will be doing EVERYTHING personnel related.

That’s gonna suck.

I’ll be busy like WOAH…

but at least I’ll have a job.

Second development? I GOT MY INCOME TAX RETURNS! WAHOOO!!!!

I’m putting almost all of it in my savings acct so that I can hire this lawyer (hope to see him by friday) and then save the rest for… other stuffs! Probably wedding related.

I’m super thrilled about these developments friends!

I guess Monday decided to cut me a break.

But it sucks that so many people around me are going to be effected by all this lay off bull honkery.

*sigh*

I hate this.

*Edit… well someone had to come in and REALLY burst my bubble.

seems i’m not so safe.

the people who got emails are just being given an opportunity to get out of dodge… they are people who might actually HAVE A PLACE TO GO TO BE SAFE.

However… I do not. If I’m up for lay offs, I’m just shit out of luck.
